Left the office early this morning for a work-related traing in Kissimmee, Florida. I admit the subject matter is probably morinteresting to me than my co-workers. That’s all I’ll say on that since this blog isn’t about work.
We had an opportunity to have lunch at Abuelo’s, a Mexican Restaurant. Boy was that disappointing! The salsa was salty and the food lacked ‘something, something’. I know, a highly technical term! Seriously though, there was not a hint of cilantro and there was this odd potato cheese concoction which tasted good, but was heavy and not what I would expect of a Mexican restaurant.
After the afternoon session, we checked into our hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott located at 8623 Vineland Avenue in Orlando. This property is located with a Springhill Suites and a Fairfield. For the shoppers out there, you will love to know you are down the street (literally) from the outlets with such gems as Coach, Crocs, Dooney Burke, Character Premiere ( where Disney Park merchandise is sold at a heavy discount)…. We checked it out. I was good. I only made a ‘small’ purchase. 😉
After our little shopping excursion (less than an hour I swear), we returned to the hotel to meet other workers only to find the “Girls in Wonderland” were in full celebration mode in the bar/lobby area. We needed a new hangout for sure. It was just to crowded!
We went to dinner at Seasons 52. If you’ve never been, check it out! As the name suggests, the menu changes with the season. They serve items that are in season. It is not inexpensive, but there dishes are full-flavored and under 425 calories. Tip… Make reservations because you may find yourself waiting a long time for a table.
Right now, I’m enjoying my king size room with couch. My room has a small refrigerator, coffee machine, hair dryer, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board. I’ll keep you posted on tomorrow’s eats!
